\u00a01 Corinthians<\/em> 13:1-8<\/h5>\n

If I speak in human and angelic tongues but don’t have love, I am a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal. And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all faith so as to move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give away everything I own, and if I hand my body over so that I may boast but do not have love, I gain nothing.<\/p>\n

Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, [love] is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.<\/p>\n

Love never fails.<\/p>\n

for Transfiguration<\/em><\/h5>\n

God of truth,
\na blessing you promised
\nand a blessing\u00a0you give.
\nThrough deserts and up mountains we follow Jesus
\nand there find you…
\nand ourselves
\nas we were meant to be.<\/p>\n

We long to hold on to that vision, O God.
\nWe try
\nto set up tents\u00a0and stay as long as we can,
\nbecause it is there
\nthat we know
\nwe are truly home.<\/p>\n

But faith calls us,
\nfor it was in faith
\nthat Jesus Lived life
\nand accepted death.
\nHis faith in you
\nwas born of love.
\nHis love
\nwas born of freedom.<\/p>\n

In Jesus,
\nthe bright cloud
\nof your grace
\nis forever upon us.
\nmay we be willing
\nto leave
\nthe mountaintop
\nexperiences
\nof life
\nand walk the plains
\nof every day.<\/p>\n
